A few months back, an official cast for "Fifty Shades of Grey" was said to be announced at the San Diego Comic Con. However, Author E.L. James claimed there was no truth to the rumour. Now, it looks as if a brand new rumour has lit a spark on the web. The official cast for the highly anticipated film adaptation is set to be revealed after Labour Day.

Early this month, producers announced the casting call for the film adaptation of E.L. James best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey." So far, weeks passed with no official name on the cast but solely rumours plagued the web. From Christian Cooke to Charlie Hunnam, these Hollywood hunks were said to be the latest favourites for the part.

As for the part of Anastasia Steele, Amber Heard and Jennifer Love Hewitt are a few actresses who expressed interest in the part. Producers however have eyed Shailene Woodley, Dakota Johnson, Alicia Vikander and Imogen Poots for the part. Yet, none of them had officially signed on for the BDSM-themed film but it looks like fans will finally get a glimpse at the official cast soon.

Reports claim that "official offers" for the part of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele will be announced after Labour Day. This means that scripts for the film will be sent out to an official list of potential stars for the film but that doesn't secure them the role. In the case of the S&M involved in the film, producers would highly cast actors for the part with the much needed chemistry.

All that's left is for fans of E.L. James novel to sit back and wait until Labour Day. Check out the slideshow to see all the latest stars up for the role in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey."
