Despite all the denying, talk down the grapevine is that Stewart of the "Twilight" series just might be playing Anastasia Steele of "Fifty Shades of Grey" after all. Judging from the Twitter comments made by the official scriptwriter, Kelly Marcel, it plainly says that Stewart is in for the role. The big question is: Would Robert Pattinson join her for the S&M film?

"Fifty Shades of Grey" novels written by E.L. James continue to top the best-selling books of the year. The love story with one hell of a twist has definitely got the whole world hooked. Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele have become popular household names that every fan is excited to see them take the action onto the big screen.

As of late, Matt Bomer and Emilia Clarke has been the top voted for the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively. Following close are Henry Cavill and Ian Somerhalder for Christian Grey and Alexis Bledel as Anastasia Steele. Additional and new names on the potential actor and actress list include Ed Westick, Chace Crawford, Emma Roberts and Amber Heard.

While Universal Studios is still mum about casting with the director's seat still empty, some fans claim that there might be actors and actresses set out for the roles already. Sources say that Kristen Stewart just might be in for the role as Anastasia Steele after all.

Marcel who had been penning the script for producers Mike DeLuca and Dana Bruneti has been quite active on Twitter lately. The scriptwriter's activity on the social networking site had caught the attention of "Twilight" helmer, Bill Condon. Due to that, sources suspect that Condon would be part of the film and had even stated Stewart's involvement in the film adaptation.

"I really do think that Kristen Stewart is amazing, but I feel like in terms of this series she doesn't get credit for how much she accomplishes. I think if someone were to sit and watch these two movies that we made together at the same time and realise that Kristen shot that all together, it's just another level of her gift," explained Condon.

Well, these are of course all speculations but if Kristen does manage to nab the role of Ana, would Robert Pattinson be willing to play the part as Christian Grey opposite her? Fans of "Twilight" and "Fifty Shades of Grey" can only hope.
