Adding to the anticipation of the movie release of "Fifty Shades of Grey," starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, author E. L. James reportedly sealed a spot on the list of Britain's Richest Authors after conquering the world with her erotic romance novels and gaining over £33 million on pre-tax profits in only one year.

The 51-year-old London-born author is said to have sold more than 100 million copies of her books since the first book in the "Fifty Shades" trilogy was published in May 2011. The trilogy includes "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed."

Telegraph reported that Erika Leonard James ( E. L. James), made a stunning profit climb last year with £33.3 million from the start of the year to the end of September 2013 from royalty fees and licencing deals, which was up from the profit James' company Fifty Shades Ltd. made in 2012 with £10.6 million.

"The company had a very successful year, during which it secured royalty agreements with numerous international publishing houses, and licencing agreements with other organisations," E.L. James said as noted from the accounts filed at Companies House.

The "Fifty Shades" author also added that her company has "income streams contracted to continue for a number of years."

In a January 2014 list of five of Britain's Richest Authors on Humanities360, "Harry Potter" series author J.K. Rowling grabbed the number one spot with a net worth of about half a million euro, followed by James Oliver. Jacqueline Collins came in third, fourth was none other than the "Fifty Shades" trilogy author E.L. James and fifth was Kenneth Follett.

Transport Evolved dubbed James as a "new name to the electric vehicle" as apparently the "Fifty Shades" author is one of the first five lucky UK buyers of the right-hand version of what is considered as the world's first premium electric sedan, Tesla Model S.

One of Britain's richest authors, James, and husband Niall Leonard who is a screenwriter and a director, however, are reportedly continuing to live with a "down-to-earth" lifestyle.

E.L. James is apparently set for more success as "Fifty Shades of Grey," starring Jamie Dornan as the sexy billionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as the virginal college student Anastasia Steele, hits theatres on Valentine's Day 2015.
