Oscar-nominated Felicity Jones revealed some of her experiences on tthe set of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” She plays the lead role, Jyn Erso, in the new “Star Wars” movie.

Felicity spoke to The Sun and said that she will never stop being slightly mesmerised by the fact that she has been in a Star Wars film. “I remember being on set and it is that funny thing of seeing a Stormtrooper without their helmet on smoking or drinking coffee. It was very surreal. But then they put them on again and suddenly they’re petrifying.”

The “Rogue One” star also had a chance to stop by "Popcorn with Peter Travers” where she revealed some fun facts about her big scenes with Darth Vader. She began by revealing that her character is not the princess kind. She told the show that fans shouldn't expect her character to be a dainty wallflower or anyone's girlfriend. She's kicking butt in this film and leading the way.

Another revelation is that Felicity needed to change her physical body and even the way she walks just to play this role. She expressed that she would do anything that is best to portray the part as Jyn.

On her last day on set, Felicity revealed that it includes another beach sequence. This scene is already available to watch in the trailers. "There's just a whole area on the back lot of the set, where they bring in tons and tons of sand," she said. She also mentioned that other beach shots had been filmed in the Maldives.

This is indeed a big change in her career as she is part of the “Star Wars” film. Her previous roles were in "The Theory of Everything" and the costume drama, "Brideshead Revisited." But that didn’t stop the Brit star from getting into character the best way she knew how. She did this by watching vintage “Star Wars movies.” “We would literally watch The Empire Strikes Back on set,” Felicity said.

"Rogue One" will be available on the big screen starting Dec. 15 in Australia.
