A lot of readers may have already heard of or read John Green's best-selling novel, "The Fault in Our Stars." Well, Time Magazines 2012 Book of the Year is finally getting the attention it deserves with a film adaptation in the works. However, it has certainly been a while for an actor to be cast as Augustus Waters since the announcement of Shailene Woodley cast as Hazel Grace Lancaster. A lot of names have been mentioned as worthy of the role the latest of which include Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

John Green's novel, "The Fault in Our Stars" talks of two Cancer-stricken teenagers falling hopelessly in love. The book has been considered a best-seller all thanks to its emotional honesty, hilarious sarcasm and heart-wrenching moments.

Josh Boone is set to direct the film with production slated for this year. Casting has already begun and Shailene Woodley of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" had nabbed the honour of playing the lead female character, Hazel Grace Lancaster.

Another important lead that is still missing an actor is Augustus Waters. While the casting requirement for Boone is anyone under the age of 25, fans have a strict requirement. Waters in the book is described as incredibly smart, optimistic, sweet and charming. The watery-blue eyes and height are two other physical attributes fans search for in possible casting options. This would probably explain why it is taking long for Boone and Green to cast an actor fit for Augustus Waters.

Early favourites for the role include Logan Lerman of "Perks of Being a Wallflower", Dylan O'Brien of
Teen Wolf" and Avan Jogia of "Victorious." While these all-American actors might have a chance at the role, a British actor also counts as a favourite for the role of Augustus. Now, who would this be?

"Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging's" Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been eyed by "Fault" fans for the role of "Gus" Waters. In fact, a lot of social networking site users have created graphics and images portraying Aaron as Augustus opposite Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace.

Taylor-Johnson does have the look for the role of Waters but can the British actor manage to convince Boone for the part? For one, Aaron is currently 22 years of age which gives him a great chance for the esteemed role. Check out the slideshow to see more of this UK celebrity.
