The production team of the "Fast & Furious 7" has allegedly stated that Paul Walker's twenty-five year old brother Cody will finish the late star's remaining scenes in the impending movie. The cast and crew of "Fast & Furious 7" was on a break from shooting and was scheduled to start on December 1, but Walker's untimely death in a car accident on November 30, halted the production.

As we have earlier reported that director James Wan revealed on December 6, that the filming of "Fast & Furious 7" will resume soon. Subsequently the speculations about who will replace late walker and how his character will conclude have started to spread.

Walker was the fortitude of the "Fast & Furious" film franchise. He had not just reprised the role of Brian O'Connor but he lived up to the character he had played in five of the six installments. Unfortunately, he died while still shooting for his sixth installment and seventh film of the franchise. Walker once stated that he was more comfortable being called as Brian rather than Paul.

"I get that a lot. I'm Brian a lot more than I'm Paul Walker, which is awesome. When I hear, 'Hey Paul Walker!' my hair stands up on the back of my neck. It's uncomfortable. But when I hear 'It's Brian!' it's cool. I like Brian," said Walker in an interview with USA Today .

According to the new reports, the production team of the "Fast & Furious 7" has approached his younger brother Cody with an offer to play the role of Brian O'Connor.

"Producers had a string of meetings right after Paul's death. They soon realized they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and that's when they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody. They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it's a shot they need Paul's face in close up they can CGI it later on. If Cody agrees it's because he wants to honour his brother's memory. There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now the family and cast and crew are all still grieving."

To know more about him, here are a few details:

  • Cody Walker has prior film experience as he has worked as a stuntman
  • He resembles the late Paul Walker
  • He lives in Oregon, but recently has been in L.A. to support his broken-hearted parents and niece Meadow
  • Paul has already completed filming for a major part of the film where Cody might be used as filler. Paul would then later be added in by the use of Computer-generated imagery (CGI) technology

"They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance. If it's a shot they need Paul's face in close up, they can CGI it later on." says a source to the Daily Mail.

"If Cody agrees it's because he wants to honour his brother's memory. There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now the family and cast and crew are all still grieving," continued the source.

Producers have also revealed that they will come out with some concrete plan only after having a thorough discussion with Walker family shortly.
