‘Fast Five’ director, Justin Lin says the sequel’s team members are just fine-tuning its every part as he confirms that the film’s superstars will continue their journey for more exciting and explosive, fully muscled ‘Fast & Furious’ sequel.

"After this big weekend, we're going forward," Lin told USA Today, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "It's pretty much 100%. It's going to happen."

No official announcements have been given by the Universal Pictures but there were resounding talks that “Fast Six” is already being conceptualized. The studio said THR has reportedly been ‘gearing up for the franchise’s next installment” way before ‘Fast Five’ hit U.S. Theaters.

As expected, the fifth series of ‘Fast & Furious’ has turbo charged in its opening week in U.S. markets at $86.2 million.

This year’s film sequel has liven up the film industry as it recorded the highest opening for the year despite the continuous decline of ticket sales that have gone with the slump of the country’s economy.

Featuring the sequel’s original triumvirate, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster, the participation of other 'Fast & Furious' alumni including Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris from ‘2 Fast 2 Furious ‘ and Sung Kang from ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’, has fueled more excitement on the already explosive and action-filled film.

The movie has morphed from the car racing story line to a heist film that is expected to be developed in the next sequel, now dubbed as the 'Fast Six'.
