Since its reveal in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) last June, Bethesda’s “Fallout 4” has instantly become one of the most anticipated titles for 2015. The game has officially launched in some regions, and some players have already gotten their hands on the game. Several media outlets have also already had a hands-on experience of the title, so reviews are now up online.

So far, several websites have already played, reviewed and rated the latest instalment in the post-apocalyptic open-world roleplaying game (RPG) series, “Fallout.” As expected, the game racked up excellent reviews thus far. Although the scores aren’t near-perfect like those of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” the game still gathered an impressive amount of points from reviewers. Some of the ratings are seen below:

  • Gamespot – 9/10
  • IGN – 9.5/10
  • Destructoid – 7.5
  • Polygon – 9.5/10
  • Game Informer – 9/10
  • Video Gamer- 9/10
  • PC Gamer- 88/100
  • GamesRadar+ - 5/5
  • PCGamesN – 8/10

The game is highly praised for its attention to detail in developing a post-apocalyptic Boston. The world map houses several areas which are found in real life, including Fenway Park. Aside from that, the game reportedly also takes into consideration every detail possible. For example, when the much-dreaded radiation storm hits, the sky turns green.

The game’s depth in terms of customisation is also widely lauded as it provides players with countless hours of gathering and crafting. Eurogamer notes that the title is one of the most ambitious games to be released in a long time. The depth and scope of many areas in "Fallout 4" reportedly make it an excellent title.

Sadly, despite being a good game, “Fallout 4” is still subject to glitches and bugs that could be a turnoff for many players. Some bugs are reportedly capable of rendering the game unplayable. The Verge reports that nine hours into the game, a player was stuck in an elevator, seemingly unable to get out.

Despite the bugs, “Fallout 4” looks to be an excellent title. It is expected to appeal to fans of the series, and it could even charm those new to the franchise.
