With less than a week left before the release of the much-anticipated “Fallout 4,” Bethesda has done all it can to prepare itself for the game's launch date, which includes its recent release of the title’s dedicated Pip-Boy app. The Pip-Boy app will make the game more interactive for players, and it will be more fun to use when accompanied with a Pip-Boy replica.

Gamespot reports that the companion app is free to download on the Google Play Store. The app will give players access to a slew of features for “Fallout 4,” spanning across all consoles including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Using the dedicated app, players can check up on data regarding their “Fallout 4” game using their smartphones. Player data such as stats, inventory items, map and even the in-game radio can be viewed and tinkered with using the app. Eurogamer said that once the app is linked to “Fallout 4,” it will note the progress of the player.

Aside from its practical uses when paired with “Fallout 4,” the app will also have several minigames called holotape games. One game titled “Atomic Command” will be free to play.

To bring out the best experience with “Fallout 4” and the Pip-Boy app, players can strap their smartphones on the Pip-Boy replica that comes with the Pip-Boy edition of “Fallout 4.” As of now, only the Android version of the app is available, and Bethesda has yet to announce when it will release the app for Apple, which could likely be before the game launches.

“Fallout 4” launches on Nov. 10 next week. It will be available on new-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the PC.
