Using the Nokia Lumia 1020, Predrag Vučković, a famous extreme sports photographer, has recently captured impressive shots of BMX trick actions for BMX W2D (aka Water to Dust) project of Microsoft. This extreme photography project was done with the help of BMX rider Varo Hernandez revving up the action. BMX or Bicycle motocross is a cycle sport performed on special bikes called BMX bikes.

Microsoft (Nokia), in collaboration with Red Bull photography, sponsored the camera project with a slew of world-renowned photographers from around the world. It is one of Nokia's camera projects that showcase some of the best views and perspectives on the world, reports Phone Arena.

The photographer Predrag has access to some of the best image capturing tool kits, in addition to an array of Profoto lights. Despite this, Microsoft asked him to use only the Nokia Lumia 1020 for the project. Notably, the Lumia 1020 sports a whopping 41 MP rear-facing camera unit.

Even though Nokia Lumia 1020 was released in July 2013, the device's camera unit is still legendary and incomparable. The photographs taken by Predrag with the Lumia device that comes with Nokia's PureView technology is a proof of the killer camera unit's capability. The captured images and video speak for themselves.

The photographer used household flour, regular lights and a not-so-bright background for the project while Varo did stunts on his BMX bike. In Predrag's words, "Our location was specially built for this purpose. For me as a professional photographer, it was surprising how Nokia managed the quality of the captured DNG files. The result was amazing, as you can see."

The Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 4.5-inch AMOLED display, 768 x 1,280 pixels resolution, Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon SoC, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage, NFC support, Microsoft Windows Phone 8, 41 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilization (OIS), Xenon & LED flash and 2000 mAh battery unit.
