Empire” Season 2 Episode 11 is scheduled to air on March 30, 2016. The title of the episode, “Death Will Have his Day,” is particularly a gloomy one and is a clear indication that a major character may die.

In the promo of “Death Will Have his Day,” Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) questions Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray ) about betraying his father, who was influenced by Camilla (Naomie Campbell). She seduced him with dreams of becoming “the CEO of Empire.” Hakeem arrogantly exclaims, “It’s my birthright!” to a room full of concerned board members by leaping on top of the meeting table.

His brother Jamal (Jussie Smollett) warns Hakeem that the decision may bring out the worst in him. Soon a car explodes, and the Lyon family members are seen appearing extremely distressed in the corridor of a hospital. Also, in "Empire" Season 2 Episode 11 promo, Camilla is seen giving an order to kill someone.

There is also the glimpse of someone pointing a gun at a person’s head, while Lucious (Terence Howard) tells an offscreen character “I’m gonna take back my kingdom. And you’re gonna help me!”

Based on the very short promo, it appears that Lyon family will lose someone very dear to them -- most likely a family member. It may be Hakeem himself, if he decides to amend his ways and come back to support his family, prompting Camilla to issue a kill order on him. It’s still unclear at this point.

In the previous episode titled “Et Tu, Brute?” a reference to the famous dialogue in William Shakespeare’s play “Julius Caesar,” Lucious played a reckless game for the streaming service that he believed would make him the most powerful man in music, only to learn that the entire business strategy was part of a scheme that might jeopardise what he had worked so hard for. Meanwhile, Cookie planned a concert at the prison where she spent 17 years locked away.

The significant developments in “Et Tu Brute?” might give a clue as to what is to be expected when “Empire” Season 2 returns with a new episode on March. In Episode 10 of “Empire” Season 2, Camilla Marks, Hakeem's older British girlfriend from Season 1, reappeared, and it was revealed that she is Mimi Whiteman's (Marisa Tomei) wife.

Mimi betrayed Lucious by recording him saying that he’d do anything to get the Swiftstream deal to go through, and she subsequently called for a vote to remove him from his position at Empire.

Hakeem had the determining vote, and spurred on by Camilla, voted against him, causing Lucious to be removed as the CEO of Empire Industries.

Mimi was appointed as the new chairman, but as she had to undergo chemotherapy, she gave the control of the company to Camilla.

It is to be remembered that Hakeem used to refer to Camilla as “Mommy” due to his unresolved Oedipal issues, as his mother Cookie spent most of her years in jail, leaving a void in her son's life.

Both Cookie and Lucious had agreed that Camilla was a corrupting influence on Hakeem. Eventually, Lucious paid her to leave town and to never contact Hakeem again. Camilla refused the money, but Lucious sent her away all the same. This could be her coming back to exact her revenge on the Lyons.
