'Empire' season 2 episode 15 spoilers: Lucious tries to convince the board that he deserves to return as CEO of Empire in 'More Than Kin'

In Season 2 Episode 15 of “Empire,” Lucious (Terrence Howard) is preparing to climb his way back to the top after the CEO position was left open due to his previous machinations. He will be getting help from someone to prove that he is worthy of the spot.

“Lucious hosts a fundraiser, as part of his campaign to prove to the board that he should return as Empire’s CEO,” stated the episode synopsis.

The Reporter Times writes that Lucious will get assistance from Andre (Trai Byers) in throwing a fundraiser event to prove to the Empire board that he should return to the position of CEO. Andre went against his brother to try and save his marriage and be close to his father again.

In the promo video, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) was thrilled to see Andre taking after the steps of Lucious. One scene showed Lucious telling everyone that he helped choose the track listing on Jamal’s new album, which will not make the latter happy.

Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) are not currently in a position to pose threats against the father and son, but will most likely have their revenge in future episodes. Although Lucious is poised to win Song of the Year, Jamal is not expected to go down easily. Hakeem, on the other hand, has always resented his father and will have more tricks up his sleeve just like before. The video also teased that before the end of the current season, “a Lyon will fall.” A gunshot was heard at a concert and everyone began to run for cover.

In the next episode, Hakeem will also make a crucial decision on whether he wants to be a father to his baby with Anika, after the latter revealed previously that she was pregnant. Recently, Hakeem proposed to his girlfriend Laura (Jamila Velazquez) and is about to tell her that he impregnated Anika. Their future marriage will be placed on the line and Laura might leave him after he reveals the news.

In the meantime, Lucious and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) have been growing closer in the previous episodes. However, their children will not be too happy about the idea of them reuniting.
