'Empire' season 2 episode 12 spoilers: Hakeem attempts to bring his own family down

Season 2 Episode 12 of “Empire” will focus a lot on Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) and his plan to go against his own family. The episode, titled “A Rose by Any Other Name,” will showcase the growing conflict between Camilla (Naomi Campbell) and Hakeem’s family.

"Camilla digs her claws deeper into Hakeem, while the rest of the Lyon family work to get him back on their side, but without realizing Empire's acting CEO has his own plan. Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) receives backlash from his fans and Andre and Rhonda’s marriage is tested, ” stated the official episode synopsis.

Based on the official synopsis, Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) may create their own strategy to bring down Camilla first, and then they will do something about Hakeem and the way he is running the business. Hakeem, however, may also have plans of his own. Hakeem appears to be using Camilla for his own interests too. Camilla is not expected to go down without a fight.

Camilla will give Hakeem a talk that will lift his mood as well as present herself as an indispensable element in taking him to the top. Hakeem will reveal to his family that he recorded a sex tape of himself and Camilla. He allegedly forwarded it to Mimi’s hotel.

Jamal will also receive the ire of his fans after the big mistake he made. He was supposed to be marketed as a gay artist, but decided not to after his father told him that he had a girlfriend already. He most likely was tired of his dad being homophobic.

Andre (Trai Byers) and Rhonda’s (Kaitlin Doubleday) relationship will also be tested after the baby she was carrying died from a tragic accident. The promo video showed Andre asking Rhonda whether she cheated on him. Furthermore, Rhonda and Andre will receive news that Anika (Grace Gealy) is carrying Hakeem’s child. They are apparently interested in adopting the baby after they lost theirs. However, Anika might decide to keep the baby.
