After the show’s shocking episode last Wednesday, episode 10’s “Sins of the Father,” Fox’s “Empire” is back in the small screen with two more episodes to wrap up Season 1. “Empire” Season 1, episode 11, “Die But Once,” and episode 12, “Who I Am,” features an interesting twist with Lucious Lyon (Terence Howard) dropping another “game changing secret.”

“In the new episodes 11 and 12 press release: Who will take the crown on the special, two-hour season finale,” according to Hollywood Hills based on the show’s press releases. “Jamal and Lucious will be on their way to forming a music-centered relationship, but once again, Lucious has a secret that’s about to change everything.”

The last episode was big blow for everyone after finding out that Lucious paid Jamal’s missing ex-wife, Olivia (Raven-Symone), and fathered her child Lola after promising her stardom if married Jamal. Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) also turned her back to Lucious after he informally proposed to her and left with Malcom (Derek Luke), her latest boy toy, by the end of the episode.

Dubbed as one of the “darkest hours” of the season, “Sins of the Father” will set the mood for the two remaining episodes Hakeem flirts with the enemy as he tries to figure out his next career move. The show will not be as interesting without Cookie planning for her next move in the show’s special tour-hour finale.

The show also teases Andre (Trai Byers) quitting from his post as Empire’s CEO and asked Lucious to start looking for his replacement. Byers revealed in an interview that Andre felt that he has been kicked from the “family dynamics” for a long time and decided to kick them all out of his life to better understand himself.

The promo also shows the head of the Lyon begging for his son to stay, while Cookie is telling him that he is on a dark path and he’s going down. But Lucious responded, "l am inviting you to witness as Empire becomes synonymous with American culture and Luscious Lyon becomes god."

Promising an explosive finale, “Empire” Season 1, episode 12 is set to shed some lights in all the secrets and lies and many thing will be resolved. Guest stars include Juicy J, Patti Labelle, Rita Ora and Snoop Dog as Himself.

“Empire” Season 1, episode 11 “Die But Once” returns to Fox on Wednesday, March 18, at 8 p.m. EDT. Check out the episode promo here courtesy of Promos and Previews.
