‘Empire’ Season 1, Episode 10 Spoilers: ‘Sins Of The Father’ Synopsis, A Hostage Situation In Lyon’s Den [VIDEO]

After a thrilling episode 9, “Unto the Breach,” Fox’s “Empire” Season 1 returns to the small screen featuring the return of an old enemy while Andre (Trai Byers) meets a new love interest. “Empire” Season 1, episode 10’s “Sins of the Father” will see the Lyons working together to keep the Empire safe with Jamal (Jussie Smollett) successfully signed the popular singer Delphine (Estelle).

While Lucious (Terence Howard) left to confront Annika (Grace Gealey) for her betrayal and business rival Billy Bareti (Judd Nelson), Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) are bonding through music. Guest star Naomi Campbell is back as Camille, Hakeem’s older lover, as she goes head to head with Lucious and Cookie.

“Empire’s” Episode 10 adds two more superstars to the show’s roster of talents with Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and Grammy winner Mary J. Blige. Hudson plays Michelle, a musical therapist who gets involve with Andre while Blige guest stars as Angie, the woman in Lucious past, which could mess up the blossoming relationship between Cookie and her ex-husband.

"In my own life and my own art, I have always aimed to move past barriers and step outside my comfort zone as much as possible, and music has always been a tool that has allowed me to do so,” Hudson told People about her “Empire” song “Remember the Music.” “This song really showcases the ability that music has in helping people to find strength and clarity."

With three more episode before the show’s finale, the stake is getting higher with the return of Jamal’s baby mama Olivia (Raven-Symone). But it’s not Olivia’s return that sets Jamal’s wheel’s spinning, its Ryan’s (Eka Darville) disinterest in his daughter Lola (Leah Jeffries).

The father and daughter has grown closer since Olivia introduced them and Jamal is planning to take her home. Does this mean the end of Ryan and Jamal already?

Now that he earned his father’s respect from signing up a popular talent, Jamal is slowly making his way to become the heir of the Empire.
