The “Behind the Candelabra” winning actor, Michael Douglas did not have to make his agent do the work to give out statement that his marriage with Catherine Zeta-Jones is doing fine as he made a shout-out “Thanks to [my] wife, Catherine” while accepting award at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards 2013.

Catherine may not have walked on the red carpet with Michael, but she was in his mind as the multi-awarded “Disclosure” star accepted his award as the Lead Actor in Movie or Miniseries for his gay role in “Behind the Candelabra.”

“I want to thank my wife, Catherine, for her support,” Michael’s brief message said to his better half of 13 years.

Brief as it was, but Michael’s thank you speech sure made a lot of sense and indeed confirm that his marital woes for the talented actress are now over. His wedding ring was also on display as he raised his golden trophy.

USA Today noted that Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell braved to ask Matt Damon’s co-star in “Candelabra” concerning his situation back home. And Michael dropped more hints than expected.

"Everybody is fine. Nothing really more to say. We were just taking a little break. We're talking. I think everything will be fine and I'm very hopeful," Michael said when asked of his marital situation on the red carpet.

In Steven Soderberg’s “Behind the Candelabra,” Michael plays the role of Liberace. He snatched the award from co-star, Matt Damon who plays as his lover, Scott Thorson and three others.
