Don’t want any information stolen from your computer? Then read on to find out the top Australian celebrities who could be used as bait, with Kylie Minogue on top of the list.

According to the annual study made by online guard, software company McAfee’s SiteAdvisor ratings, Kylie is Australia’s “Most Dangerous Celebrity.” In a recent study released Sept. 17, the singer apparently outnumbered her sister, Dannii, which topped the list in last year’s survey.

The study, now on its seventh year, conducted a survey on Australian celebrities in popular culture, considered as the most dangerous and riskiest on the internet and who are likely to return dangerous links when searched for online.

Some of these “dangers” include viruses, malware and malicious software, which are developed to “steal... passwords and personal information” of unsuspecting fans.

“Cyber criminals often use the attraction of a celebrity name to draw web surfers to compromised websites that contain malicious downloads or viruses," the consumer marketing director for McAfee Asia Pacific, Melanie Duca, said, according to The Age.

One couldn’t be more careful adoring celebrities, as they are likely to pay the price with malicious software.

"Attackers then gain access to your personal information as you search for news on your favourite celebrity,” the McAfee official added.

Other Aussie celebrities deemed as “dangerous” who joined the Minogue sisters are "Diana" star, Naomi Watts, who nabbed the number 2 spot and singer, Jessica Mauboy, who was named number 3, most dangerous celebrity.

Rounding up the top 5 of list is Delta Goodrem on Top 4 and Guy Sebastian on Top 5.
