In 2015, Eminem and Michael Jordan released a brand of collaboration shoes with Carhartt which were auctioned and given to selected family and friends. The most recent recipient of the shoes is Khaled Mohamed Khaled, 40, who is professionally known as DJ Khaled.

In the past years, Khaled has been vocal about wanting to record a collaboration song with Eminem. On March 13, 2013, he praised the “Rap God” rapper while expressing his interest in working with him during his appearance on “RapFix Live.”

“He’s amazing,” MTV quoted Khaled as saying. “It’s Eminem. But I feel like we need to do an anthem together, a record together. We need to get in the studio together, me and him just vibe out. I want to play him the beat, give him the energy, the inspiration.”

It appears that Eminem is still not ready to collaborate with Khaled but he is willing to share to him a pair of the limited edition collaboration sneakers with Carhartt and Jordan. Dubbed the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4, the sneakers were released to celebrate the “Rap God” rapper’s Shady Records label.

On Nov. 10, 2015, 10 pairs of the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4 shoes were auctioned to raise funds for Eminem's charity called the Marshall Mathers Foundation. The shoes feature the Air Jordan IV silhouette, Carhartt's canvas material on the upper and the ShadyXV logo under the Jumpman logo with the Eminem hockey mask and backwards “E” logos on its heel.

Meanwhile, Marcus Jordan, 25, is set to open a retail boutique called the Trophy Room. The son of the retired NBA superstar recently pointed out that he has been around the Jordan brand his whole life.

“The way the culture is shifting is a great opportunity,” Marcus told CNBC. He also pointed out that the Jordan brand has seen remarkable growth since his father retired from the NBA more than 10 years ago.
