Host Ryan Seacrest announced American Idol counted 58 million votes within the two hours after Wednesday night's Top 6 performance show. Who got the lowest portion of that huge number?

This forecast said three girls will make up this week's bottom three, but other forecasts had gloomy outlook for the two guys, too.

Jessica Sanchez and Elise Testone were the first to be called. Jessica did not really give justice to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." Mentor Jimmy Iovine said it was "a plain old mistake," referring to a common slip-up by Idol hopefuls who choose songs that do not match their vocals and image in general. Elise, on the other hand, seemed to have deliberately staged her own exit by singing "Bold as Love," a less familiar Jimi Hendrix song. If Elise had really wanted out, then she must have been relieved to hear that she was, for the sixth time, in the bottom three. Jessica was safe.

Hollie Cavanagh and Joshua Ledet were the next tandem to face the results. Hollie became very emotional last week when it was down to Colton Dixon and her, and she thought she was going home. It was Colton's first time in the bottom. Now it could be her fourth time there, and that's only within a span of five weeks. Her performance of "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus was impressive, but was it not too late as Jimmy feared? As for Joshua, the judges have loved him from the start, but the voting audience has not been blind to his missteps. However, Joshua's restrained and engaging rendition of India.Arie's "Ready for Love" was quite a big moment for him. Sure enough, he was safe, and Hollie was in the bottom three.

Skylar Laine and Phillip Phillips were the last to know their fate. Skylar's take on Jason Aldean's "Tattoos on This Town" was not as remarkable as it had to be, which was a shame, because the country audience was making a decision to either support her or not. Phillip seemed to be ready to leave the competition, too. He knew well enough that he should not be choosing an unfamiliar song at this point in the competition but he chose "The Stone" by Dave Matthews anyway. But the voting audience has spoken, and they said his song choice didn't matter. He was safe, and Skylar was in the bottom three.

This forecast even coincidentally got the order of the names right - Elise, Hollie, and Skylar. It was quickly down to Elise and Hollie, and then the woman with a record number of trips to the bottom three has finally ended her journey on the Idol stage. Hollie gets another week, but it was bye-bye for now for Elise.

As a farewell number, Elise sang Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and wowed everyone again. She should enjoy a good beauty rest in the next couple of weeks, because Idols Live tour will get rolling beginning July 6 at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena.
