eBay upgrades app for iOS and Android; announces ‘20 Days of Deals’ to celebrate 20th anniversary

As a part of its 20 th anniversary celebration, online retailer eBay brings a completely redesigned user interface with the app’s latest update. The new eBay 4.0 will be a major upgrade for the online marketplace with a simplified and image-centric UI.
After a month-long beta testing, the eBay 4.0 has been rolled out to both iOS and Android, which marks the beginning of a new chapter for eBay mobile interface. The update will make the website more user-friendly and easy-to-access. It will be easier to browse through the top deals, promotions and events. A much balanced and streamlined ways of shopping will completely overhaul the entire user experience for both buyers and sellers.
The latest update will add a more personalised interface based on the seller’s level and activity. The new dashboard will provide a comprehensive and systematic view of all the products and deals at a glance. The upgraded app will offer more information for the new entrants in the list. All iOS and Android users can download the new app from iTunes and Google Play respectively.
“As we look ahead to the next 20 years of eBay, we are creating innovative, game-changing commerce that is enabled by people, powered by technology and open to everyone,” said RJ Pittman, Chief Product Officer of eBay via the company’s official blog.
Starting today, the online retail giant is hosting a shopping event named “20 Days of Deals” to celebrate its 20 th anniversary with its customers. For the next 20 days, users can enjoy heavy discounts in the big eBay sale. There will also be special deals on select items priced at flat $20. The sale will be open for all online shoppers.
Additionally, an Airstream trailer will be on a tour around few U.S cities including San Francisco, Denver, and New York City to sell products out of the truck itself, reports Time Money. The latest version of the eBay app, with all its additions and overhauls, is already available on the iOS and Android Stores
