Some players around the globe are currently getting their hands on EA and DICE’s competitive team-based shooter “Star Wars Battlefront.” The game just recently released its having few to none receptions from fans, the publisher of the game has already set his eyes on the plans for more “Star Wars” titles.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed at the UBS Global Technology Conference in San Francisco that fans should expect more titles in the future, Gamespot reports. This points to a sequel or maybe more sequels to “Star Wars Battlefront.” This is made possible by EA’s 10-year licensing deal with Disney, the new and current owner of the franchise. This means that there will be other Battlefront games, and maybe even new titles for all gaming platforms including consoles, mobiles and the PC.

"We struck a licensing deal with Disney a few years back that's almost ten years in length,” said Jorgensen. He added that “our goal is to make future Battlefront games as well as other style games around the Star Wars franchise, both on mobile as well as console and PC. It's a huge opportunity for us."

This could be good for Battlefront fans as they should expect the titles to be improved on over the next years. So far, several media outlets have already released their first impressions on “Star Wars Battlefront,” and it has garnered both positive and negative reviews. What the game lacks in content, it makes up for the several game modes and gameplay.

One of these other style games Jorgensen is pointing to is the rumoured open-world RPG game developed by an ex-“Uncharted,” Kotaku reports. The rumours began after several job-listings point out to the development of the game.

Jorgensen also noted that there the deal EA has with Disney covers not only the first six movies, but also the upcoming trilogy including this December’s “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.” So series fans might see more characters in the future.
