Dwayne Johnson shared picture from his forthcoming movie “Baywatch” and compared the movie to “Avengers.” The actor contends that the lifeguards on the beach also save lives and protect people the old fashioned way.

With hashtag #AvengersOfTheBeach, Johnson wants the world to know that the lifeguards in his movie are superheroes without capes and superpowers. “No cool capes or dope super powers. Just protecting the people with our two hands the good ol' fashion way…” Johnson wrote.

The actor also teased that not everything is smooth among the lifeguards. He wrote that when they are not out saving lives, the lifeguards go back to being “slightly dysfunctional.”

The picture Johnson shared on his Instagram page shows him carrying a man. The actor is wearing red shorts, as he is playing a lifeguard named Mitch Buchannon in the movie. The actor appears to be on a yacht in the scene.

#ThisIsAlsoHowIThrowMyLadyDownOnOurBed the actor joked in the post, suggesting that his character may not have been saving a life in the scene. #ThatsMyBabyMakinFace the actor jokingly added.

Johnson has been in shape for “Baywatch” and it shows in the picture. The actor’s ripping muscles and his large tattoo on the chest are clearly visible in the picture. The actor revealed that the actors who play lifeguards in the movie “never skip leg day” while working out.

The actor had previously shared a picture of fellow cast members, including a shirt-less Zac Efron (Matt Brody). The actor revealed that the cast members were running in slow motion for the picture because “apparently that makes everyone's kibbles and bits look sexy.”

“We are the reason you feel safe in the water... We are the reason you feel safe on the sand,” Johnson wrote in the post. “Avengers” movies have delivered big numbers at the box office for Marvel. With Johnson playing up the hero aspect of the lifeguards, it will be interesting to see if “Baywatch” will be able to deliver similar results.
