The bloody mystery hounding a grisly murder at Beverly Hills may soon be resolved on the upcoming episode of “Devious Maids.” On Monday, its ninth run titled “Much Ado About Buffing” focuses on a new lead about Peri Westomore’s (Mariana Klaverno) death. Marisol Suarez (Ana Ortiz) uncovers something about Genevieve Delatour’s (Susan Lucci) past that may be linked to the true killer.

Meanwhile, Zoila Diaz (Judy Reyes ) may have taken in more than she could handle, including helping her friend out. Episode 9 will also feature other “Devious Maids” cast members including Rosie Falta (Dania Ramirez), Carmen Luna (Roselyn Sanchez), Spence Westmore (Grant Show ), Evelyn Powell (Rebecca Wisocky) and Adrian Powell (Tom Irwin).

TV Guide reports that on Monday’s episode, Danni lets Carmen believe that things between them are getting better, while Spence lends Rosie a hand when Miguel gets in trouble at school. Zoila, on the other hand, is having a difficult time juggling work, personal life and helping out Rosie delve into Peri’s death. Elsewhere, Marisol finds out something from Genevieve’s past life, which could finally shed light on the identity of Peri’s murderer.

Lifetime posted a sneak peek for the Aug. 1 episode of “Devious Maids.” In the trailer, Adrian warns Carmen that things are about to get ugly at the Powell mansion. Evelyn catches him playing it dirty with her friend Gail. Another scene shows Zoila dressed up as a sexy maid to seduce Kyle. Spence and Rosie also figure in the trailer, as they get into an argument about her relentless pursuit of Peri’s true killer.

“Much Ado About Buffing” was written by “Devious Maids” creator Marc Cherry, with Curtis Kheel, according to the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb. Recurring guest stars who will appear on the upcoming episode include James Denton (Peter), Ryan McPartlin (Kyle), Stephanie Faracy (Frances), Nathan Owens (Jesse), Sol Rodriguez (Dani), Gail (Julie Fleming), and Kill Face (Owen Harn).
