Addressing fan queries on why some of the content for the "Destiny" DLC can already be found in the main game, Bungie president took it up with Eurogamer to discuss some of the issues. It appears that a lot of the criticisms can be pointed back to the story--at least, what is coherent about it.

The developer has been very aware of the lack of a good story that can serve as the foundation of "Destiny," and even the expansion is only a way by which the developer can aim to bring to light and understanding what most "Destiny" players have started to find as a nonexistent coherent plot. If anything, The Dark Below will be following a different route in terms of storytelling, if only so that the fans' feedback on the lack of a plot for the main game can be addressed.

"The structure of the story in this expansion is different than the story in the core game. Looking at how the story plays and how we wanted to repackage it and reacting to fan feedback, we're taking a different approach to the story in this one," said Harold Ryan, president of Bungie, to Eurogamer.

Ryan gave a clue on how the change will be like for "Destiny's" DLC The Dark Below. Looking at Thorn quest for some inspiration, the developer has ensured that the story will feel more interactive for "Destiny" now than it was before.

Express also reports a new storytelling mechanism coming for "Destiny" once The Dark Below DLC debuts on Dec. 9. According to the source, there will be new story quests that are set around tasks once the contents are unlocked. Also, community manager David "DeeJ" Dague has confirmed that there will be a new way by which "Destiny" players can enjoy the game, so that there will be varied play styles all around.

The difference with exotic bounties is that players who are focused on the co-op part of The Dark Below will have the chance to clear the Quests. Still, expect some multistage tasks coming with the update.

The Dark Below DLC was also reiterated in this week's updates from Bungie. Some of the more standard changes include adding new featured maps via the new Crucible playlist and even upgrades for some weapons and armours, though Bungie has yet to detail these changes later on.

For those who are not looking at getting the new DLC, Bungie has promised that there will still be new changes that these "Destiny" players can look forward to. There are three already detailed by the developer, which are new weapons and armours, new daily bounties and five new bounty slots.

Finally, exotics will now be worth more than what they used to be, as they are now worth "the price of ownership," meaning they will now be more prized possessions. However, the details for this is also still in the works for another blog update care of Bungie.
