This week’s “Destiny” hype is focused on the reveal for Prison of Elders. As was the case with The Reef and Trials of Osiris, developer Bungie revealed new information via a Twitch live stream.

Prison of Elders is supposed to be introduced as the alternative to the Raid that had been removed for “House of Wolves.” However, according to Forbes, it seems that it will be a very challenging part of “Destiny,” seeing as how even Bungie’s own personnel can’t beat it after several rounds. Still, while a lot of factors could have affected this, it does show that “Destiny” players may have a lot of teamwork and practice to do.

As for what can be seen in the Prison of Elders, PlayStation Blog reports that players will have to partner with other Guardians to battle waves of alien races. What’s good about the gameplay is that it will not have a repetitive feel, given that procedural generation of the gameplay will make each encounter unique. There are three challenges that can be played at levels 32, 34 and 35, with a themed modifier and objectives.

Each match consists of five rounds, the fifth of which has the boss battle that Bungie was never able to show. When everything is over and the fireteam survives, the reward is to gain access to the Queen’s treasure room.

Before “Destiny” players can look forward to playing “House of Wolves,” the “Destiny” 1.2.0. patch should first arrive. Bungie has not yet given any specific dates on when this us. But Gamepur reports that one Redditor who goes by the handle Quinonvocabitur has managed to mine some data through the official Bungie website. According to the report, the “Destiny” patch 1.2.0 may be scheduled in the coming week. Given that Bungie’s usual update comes on a Friday of the week, this does bear some weight.

Even though “House of Wolves” has yet to debut, a new leak has pointed to the possible name of the “Destiny” expansion planned for September. Spotted via NeoGAF, Eurogamer reports that the Bungie-trademarked “The Taken King” may be the next major expansion. Apart from the name, a logo is also seen alongside title, which the source states may be related to the Hive. The title “Taken King” may also be referring to Oryx, father of Crota in the first expansion.

As always, since Bungie has yet to announced these, it is best to take the new leaks with a grain of salt. Do expect the second “Destiny” DLC, “House of Wolves,” to arrive on May 19.
