Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) has exited “Days of Our Lives” (“DOOL”) and the actress admitted that the decision was not hers to make. DePaiva joined the show in June 2014, bringing back the character of Eve, previously portrayed by Charlotte Ross from 1987 to 1991.

DePaiva thanked fans on her official webpage.

“As the sand runs out of my hourglass over at Days … I have no regrets,” she wrote on her post. She added that she had a very remarkable experience on the show. DePaiva said that she always strived for excellence and to give the fans what they truly deserved. Her story in Salem has been good and it saddens her to be let go just when her character was finally gaining stability. She explained how things are in the Soap business and that characters, actors, writers and producers come and go.

“But fortunately for all of us the stories still go on. Keep watching and here’s to 50 more years of ‘Days of our Lives’!!!” she continued.

Although DePaiva is currently no longer on “DOOL,” she will continue to appear in the upcoming episodes, since “Days of Our Lives” films in advance. She was confirmed to sing in the Christmas episode. Serial Scoop reveals that DePaiva’s exit will not involve the current Salem serial killer mystery.

In the meantime, a number of characters are bound to enter and exit on “DOOL.” Days of Our Lives News reports that Guy Wilson (Will Horton) will be exiting the soap. His husband, Sonny (Freddie Smith), and Sami (Alison Sweeney), will bid him goodbye. Sami, however, will not allow it to end just like that. She is expected to seek revenge on everyone who caused her family pain and suffering. Previously, Shawn Christian (Dr. Daniel Jonas) was also rumoured to leave “Days of Our Lives” for good. His character will most likely die, but in an unexpected manner. Jonas’ departure will most likely affect his fianceé Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).

Stay tuned for the latest news and updates on “Days of Our Lives.” The soap airs from Monday to Friday on at 1 pm on NBC.
