The 84th Oscar Academy Awards is just a few weeks away. With the nominees having been announced last January 24, it was a bit of a surprise to see a few names being snubbed, one being Ryan Gosling. However, "Harry Potter" star, Daniel Radcliffe shares a bit more of his say about the curse of the Oscar snub.

Despite the world renowned wizard franchise, "Harry Potter" garnering a total of 12 nominations, the film has yet to win a single Oscar. The worst part of not ever winning is that "Harry Potter" has never been once nominated in the artistic category of Best Picture. It's a deep cut especially for fans of the Potter franchise.

Even lead star, Daniel Radcliffe, is a bit "miffed" by the all time Oscar curse that the 22-year old finally speaks up his mind. During an interview with Radio Times, Daniel shares a piece of his mind about the recent Oscar nominations.

"I don't think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids' films, unless they're directed by Martin Scorsese," says Radcliffe. "I was watching 'Hugo' the other day and going, 'Why is this nominated and we're not?' I was slightly miffed."

Martin Scorsese's film, "Hugo" racked up a total of 11 nominations in this year's Oscar Awards. If comparisons between "Hugo" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" were to be done, everyone would see exactly what Daniel meant.

"There's a certain amount of snobbery. It's kind of disheartening. I never thought I'd care. But it would've been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in," continued Radcliffe.

The Academy has definitely got a lot of explaining to do. "Harry Potter" was not the only film to have been snubbed but a few other films as well who quite obviously should have made it to the cut. The same goes for a few actors who should have rightfully earned a nod.

Daniel on the other hand shouldn't let such downtrodden thoughts bring his hopes down. With "Harry Potter" nominated in three technical categories, one win might suffice. As for him, his post-Potter film is doing him a lot of honors as "The Woman in Black" racks up a total of $21 million dollars in just its opening week.

The Oscars can be snubbed so easily seeing that they snub a few films and actors who deserved a nod.
