As “Dancing With The Stars” Season 21 entered into week 5, all the contestants celebrated the “Switch-Up Week” theme on Monday. The nine remaining celebrities were paired with different pro partners.

Alexa PenaVega and her stand-in partner Derek Hough walked away with the highest score of the night with 40 points, US Weekly reported. The duo performed a tango, which landed Pena Vega her first 10 points of the season. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called the dance “incredible,” while Julianne praised its “authenticity.”

Following close behind was her husband -- Carlos PenaVega. Paired with Lindsay Arnold, he was able to get a score of 39 for his quickstep. Inaba and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who was a guest judge were all praise for the couple. “It was not quickstep. It was an amazing quickstep!” the DWTS Season 18 champion said.

Bindi Irwin was on the top three and earned her second consecutive 10, People reported. This week, the fan favourite danced the cha-cha with Valentin Chmerkovskiy. She brought an anaconda to practice, and Val struggled with Bindi’s reliance on animal-focused metaphors for dancing. The dancing duo enthralled the audience with their strong performance, which earned them a 37.

No one went home in “Switch Up Week”, but next Monday, Oct. 19, a couple will leave based on scores and votes from both Most Memorable Year Week 4 and Switch Up Week 5, Wetpaint reported.

The pairs performed different dance styles including Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, Tango, Quickstep, Rumba, Viennese Waltz and other styles. It was exciting to watch the celebrities dancing with their new pro partners. It will also determine where the nine contestants stand on the leaderboard, ABC reported.
