The two-hour long final episode of “Dancing With The Stars” Season 21 crowned Bindi Irwin the champion on Tuesday night.

The live episode started with an outdoor Christmas number with all the 13 celebrity contestants and pros participating this season.

The three finalists danced a routine which they had performed earlier this season. Afterwards, the three remaining pairs, Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough, Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess and Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold, performed a new routine as part of a “24-Hour Fusion Challenge.”

Bindi and Derek danced a Viennese waltz to “Something on my Mind,” which was a repeat of their dance routine from Week 8 held on Nov. 10. Bindi danced with a blindfold, but managed to nail the routine. She secured a perfect score of 30 -- 10 each from all the judges -- for the fusion dance routine. For the Argentine tango-cha-cha fusion, she danced gracefully and ease. With her partner Derek, she set the ballroom on fire.

“I can’t think of a more perfect way to end this season. It’s been because of you, Bindi Irwin,” said Judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

Meanwhile, for their fusion routine, Nick and Sharna combined the salsa with the tango. Julianne Hough said that their routine was done “beautifully,” while Carrie Ann said that Nick was the real deal. The pair earned three perfect 10s for their dance.

Alek and Lindsay did a rumba and tango. The two danced to Coldplay’s “A Sky Full Of Stars.” The pair got nine points each from the three judges. For once, Alek was good with his hip movements and was complimented by judge Bruno Tonioli, while Julianne said that he has a bright future.

After the two-hour long finale night, it was time to announce the winner. Bindi, the daughter of late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin, was crowned the champion and won the Mirroball trophy. The second place went to Nick Carter and Alek landed the third place.

Earlier, before the competition began, Chaka Khan and Andy Grammer performed solo numbers. Mark Ballas’ girlfriend BC Jean also pitched in. Grammer and Khan later came together to sing a holiday number. Nick Carter also performed his latest single “I Will Wait.” Kim Zolciak Biermann, who had to bow out earlier this season due to a mini-stroke, returned to perform an “I Dream Of Jeannie” routine with her pro partner Tony Dovolani.

Gary Busey and Carlos PenaVega also danced. They became Santa Claus, and PenaVega opted to be a shirtless Santa. He performed to a “Magic Mike” number, while his wife Alexa PenaVega performed her “Breaking Bad” set. Only contestant missing was Tamar Braxton, who had to opt out due to health issues.

Bindi took to Twitter after her win and said,"I am speechless. I can't tell you how much love I have for all of your support throughout this beautiful journey."

Some important announcements were made during the finale. Longtime judge Len Goodman will be returning to the show next season. In addition, it was announced that second runner-up Alek Skarlatos has joined the cast of the “Dancing With the Stars Live” tour.

“DWTS” will return with Season 22 on March 21, 2016.
