Cyrus Villanueva, 'X Factor Australia' Season 7 contender Twitter/X Factor Australia

After taking the music industry by storm, 20-year-old Filipino-Australian rising star announced that he plans on starting his album tour. He made the announcement on his Twitter account and said that he would love to go on tour in his #AskCyrus segment on March 1. He currently works on songwriting and side projects with fellow artists before he starts.

“I already have a big fanbase in The Philippines because of my heritage. There’s a big music culture there. I’d love to do America too, one day,” he told The Daily Telegraph. The Fil-Aussie musician said that he wanted to bring his music to other countries.

Singer Cyrus Villanueva won the hearts of many when he was announced the winner in the television music competition "X Factor Australia" on November 24, 2015. Mentored by Chris Isaak, he climbed to worldwide fame and beat Louise Adams, and real-life couple Jess Dunbar and Matt Price. He wowed the viewers and earned a standing ovation in his audition. He is now working as a recording artist going by the name "Cyrus."

Cyrus works with music label Sony Music Australia. His first single "Stone" was released on iTunes in November and instantly became the top track. Cyrus' self-titled album debuted on December 9, 2015 and sold over 35 thousand copies on the first release. His second single "Keep Talking" was released on February 11.

On July 5, he visited the "X Factor" set and cheered on the present contestants. Presently, Cyrus maintains an active status in social media. Fans and followers continue to watch his music career bloom and watch for his future tours.
