Ian Somerhalder still enjoyed his busy trip schedule to four cities in just four days away from girlfriend Nina Dobrev who was having a blast herself in Miami, Florida. The "Vampire Diaries" actor has been posting messages on his Twitter account non-stop about his memorable trips especially in China.

The 34-year-old heartthrob actor shared the news about his busy schedule to his followers on Twitter after confirming the 4th season finale of the successful TV series "The Vampire Diaries." "Packing-off to China! See you soon! Then NY, Spain, Canada, Russia Hungary, Italy, France, Brussels, England (for movie) then back to NY then ATL 4TVD," the Hollywood star posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder.

It appears the whirlwind trip has helped in keeping Ian Somerhalder distracted from his separation with the 24-year-old brunette beauty again. Previous reports stated that the couple has already spent time apart for a month due to their hectic work and promotion schedules for the TV show.

After his trip to China, Ian Somerhalder expressed his admiration for the country on Twitter. "Wow-China... Whirlwind... 4cities in 4days after wrapping Vampire Diaries at 4AM. In love w/the people here-thank you for the love!!" the actor wrote.

On Wednesday, May 1, Ian Somerhalder was spotted in New York City to fulfill some of his promotional duties. The "Vampire Diaries" star flashed the peace sign to the photographers patiently waiting as he headed out on the streets of the Big Apple looking really comfortable in his casual attire.

Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev returned to Los Angeles with a gloomy mood with best friend Julianne Hough after their fun beach vacation in Miami. The romantic poem that Ian Somerhalder posted on Twitter is most likely dedicated to his girlfriend in order to cheer her up.

The poem's introduction by Anais Nin reads: "Something changes the moment you decide you've found a person you are ready to reveal parts of your soul to. As if you are whispering 'finally' and your eyes fill with light and spontaneity."
