Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev apparently enjoyed another weekend far away from each other further igniting the split rumors surrounding them. The "Vampire Diaries" actor arrived at the Century Hall in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on Sunday, March 24, without lady love Nina Dobrev at his side.

The 34-year-old actor headed south to support and celebrate the first year anniversary of "Built of Barnwood" furniture store which is a family business. Ian Somerhalder co-owns the store with his brother, Robert.

Ian Somerhalder looked cool and comfortable in his dark V-necked T-shirt paired with blue jeans and a white fedora hat as he signed autographs and have his pictures taken at the five-hour anniversary celebration. More than 2,000 fans were present at the event and had the chance to personally meet the heartthrob actor.

Over 200 pictures were captured with the fans that were willing to pay $20 to $30 for an 8x10 glossy photo with the "Vampire Diaries" star. Without a doubt, the money that Ian earned at the "Built of Barnwood" anniversary will proceed to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation.

To prove that he is having a good time in Mississippi, Ian Somerhalder wrote a message on Saturday using his Twitter account @iansomerhalder and it reads: "Fresh deep breath of Louisiana air. Ahhh- No place like home."

"Amazing weekend in Louisiana & the MS gulf coast w/ family & friends-thank you so much for all the http://Builtofbarnwood.com support. Love you all," the actor further posted on the social networking site.

With the split rumors circulating, fans and the media are carefully examining Ian and Nina's Twitter messages in an attempt to find out the truth on the current status of their relationship. Ian Somerhalder has been busy and traveling to places almost every weekend while Nina Dobrev spends most of her free time out and about in Los Angeles.

Both celebrities are still tight-lipped on the numerous reports that their love story has already ended.
