For Disney stars to be compared to one another is pretty much be common. However, for Disney stars to be compared to Nickelodeon stars, this would be World War III. Apparently, rising star, Ariana Grande has been compared to Selena Gomez. Fans of Grande had even claimed she'd be the next Gomez in the business but this did not bode well with the Nickelodeon star.

How and when did the comparison between Gomez and Grande even begin? In Hollywood where everyone is constantly compared to the other, the root cause would be impossible to locate. For those who don't know Ariana Grande, the redhead singer hailed from the Nickelodeon show, "Victorious." After an alleged fight between the lead star, Victoria Justice, the show was cancelled which paved way to another original Nick series, "Sam & Cat" starring Grande and McCurdy.

Unlike Gomez who has been known for dating Justin Bieber, Grande is well-known over social networking sites as the girlfriend of "Janoskians" star, Jai Brooks. There obviously isn't any connection between the two stars. In an interview with Yahoo! OMG, Ariana opened up on the issue of her being the "next Selena Gomez."

"I don't really see [the comparison]. We both started out in children's television, I think we share that in common and we are both doing music," explained Grande, adding, "But we are really nothing alike but if you look at us and compare our sounds we aren't that much alike."

Both singers had recently released their singles early this month. Gomez's latest single, "Come & Get It" is currently on the top ten of iTunes while Grande's single with Mac Miller, "The Way" is a few spots in the top 20. With the obvious distance between them, is there any hate between Gomez and Grande? Well, there isn't and fans of both stars shouldn't even start one.

"She has been incredibly successful thus far in her career and I will feel lucky if I am just as successful," stated Ariana.

Grande shouldn't really worry about not being successful because obviously a lot of fans love her and she's racking up a lot of followers on Twitter.

"It was really crazy, honesty my label and I were expecting to get like top 20, top 15 and really celebrate - that would have been a great, great debut," stated Grande, adding, "It's really cool, I love my fans. I have really cool fans and I love being able to talk to them and check up on them on a daily basis. I love having that outlet."
