An interesting job vacancy ad was posted in Weibo, China's counterpart of Twitter. The ad announced that a third-party security company in Beijing called Anquan is looking for a Chief Pornography Identification Officer.

Here is the original ad with Chinese characters.

The advert said the job's location is in Beijing, the capital city of China. Pay is $32,348.40 yearly or about 200,000 RMB.

The job is part of China's effort to protect Chinese Internet users from pornographic sites like this one.

However, based on the job description, it would be a Peeping Tom's dream job since the number 1 task is to research and study pornographic videos and images and to formulate the criteria that would determine what is obscene.

It is not just porn videos and images that the applicant must be familiar or interest with, but also different standards of determining porno content in other countries and China, specifically those used by the China Internet Network Information Centre.

Besides legally watching porn and being paid for it, the other perks of the job include free fruits and yogurt weekly.

The Web site Kotaku said the job listing had been viewed over 120,000 times and got more than 20,000 comments. It said there are other similar jobs in China with the job title censor.

The portal noted that the lucky person who gets hired would earn a living viewing porn, but would make the Internet for fellow Chinese worse since they could not see what he had.
