Chelsea no. 1 Thibaut Courtois revealed that fellow goalkeeper Petr Cech is unhappy with the situation that he is experiencing this season.

The 32-year-old Czech international has featured only once in the Premier League this season, coming on as a substitute for Thibaut Courtois, who was then taken off due to a collision with Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez on matchday 7. He started two games in the Champions League, but they were against a lowly NK Maribor side.

The former Atletico Madrid loanee said that he and Cech get along fine, but with the latter being stripped of his status as first-choice, things can be unsatisfying, to say the least.

"We train really well together now, talking a lot about things that can happen in a game," the 22-year-old Belgian told The Guardian.

"It's a nice relationship."

"I understand that, maybe, he's not happy he doesn't play a lot and that's normal. I would be the same. But we get on well.

"At Atletico, the No2s would not always speak to me. It wasn't jealousy, more frustration, but it meant we didn't get on well.

"That's a pity because, normally, the goalkeepers are just alone working together. It's not like that here."
