The technology world isn't the only one mourning about the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs, but celebrities are expressing their condolences as well.

On Oct. 5, the world has lost a visionary that truly changed how the world communicate and view gadgets as a way of life. Jobs died due to a long battle with cancer, an illness that forced him to resign as the CEO of the company. Tim Cook was assigned to take Jobs' place, and is more than distraught after learning about the tragic loss. Aside from technology biz heavy-hitters, celebrities are making sure they voice out how they felt towards this devastating news.

"As I type on my iPhone, tears spring2 my eyes4an amazing man I never met. His genius has touched us all. Steve Jobs, you will b/with us 4ever" typed model and TV host, Tyra Banks on her Twitter page. Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi also expressed her sadness, saying that Job's legacy truly changed lives.

"Very sad news- we have lost a rare man of our time. He changed all our lives for the better. Thoughts & prayers to the Jobs family." wrote Lakshmi in her micro-blogging account. Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is equally saddened about the passing away of this generation's greatest inventors and innovators.

"My heart goes out for the family of Steve Jobs. What an inspiration he was to us all and a creative visionary for the world! You will be missed..." tweeted Longoria. Director Spike Lee seems to be the really affected, being a director using many of Job's inventions and all.

"I only met Steve Jobs once,briefly at The Apple Store on 5th Avenue in NY.People VISIONARIES are always called CRAZY in the beginning...A VISIONARY sees things that everybody else says is IMPOSSIBLE, sees a World that People can't invision-MAC,IPOD,IPAD,IPHONE,ITUNES...And PIXAR.
