The cast of summer's most exciting sci-fi extravaganza Cowboys & Aliens arrived for the movie's European premiere at the 64th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.

Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and the rest of the big names summing up the cast of the "otherworldly" flick "Cowboys & Aliens" gather for the exclusive Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland after a huge success in the US box office on August 7.

Famed actor-director director John Favreau, who is known for his action flicks led by "Iron Man", also directed this film about the Wild West under attack by a spaceship in 1973. Lead characters Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) and Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) lead their sentry of horse-riding reckless cowboys to fight off the terrestrial invaders, an adventure that awaits gut-clenching twists and action-packed scenes.

Co-star Olivia Wilde, who plays traveler Ella Swenson, stunned the public andpress as she arrived in a jeweled black Gucci gown adorned with Carrera Y Carrera earrings and Jimmy Choo heels.

Before the start of the movie premiere, Wilde tweeted: "Cowboys screening for 8,000 in the Piazza Grande a the Locarno Fest tonight. prepping my speech in Swiss, Italian, and Apache just in case."

Shortly after the tweet, the actress realized her mistake, and returned with another tweet: "Oh good, turns out there's no Swiss language. that makes things simpler. I'll throw in Cantonese just to keep things interesting."

The Roberto Orci (creator of series Fringe and Star Trek executive producer) co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Kurtman who is famous for producing Jennifer Garner's claim-to-fame series "Alias".

Cowboys & Aliens will premiere on August 18 in Australia.
