Elizabeth Olsen’s character Scarlet Witch/ Wanda Maximoff will be the “wild card” in “Captain America: Civil War.”

Speaking to MTV about her character, Olsen said, “They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn’t there. She’s always the wild card.” She added that her character will possess “transformed” abilities in the film.

The actress is reportedly working with the movement coach Jennifer White to enhance her character’s motion skills. “It’s not a new hand technique per se. We’re trying to grow her movement as a whole… Jenny and I have great pride in trying to make this a huge transformation – the next time we see her – of her abilities,” she said.

Olsen’s character will reportedly be more “conflicted” in “Captain America: Civil War” as compared to her previous role in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” where she destroyed Ultron’s primary body and was later taken by Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff under their tutelage.

In the comics (via Marvel), Scarlet Witch is a mutant born with the ability to alter reality. She can create chaos with her magic and can make unlikely things happen. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this character made her first appearance in “The X-Men” No 4.

“Captain America: Civil War” will see the formation of two groups of Avengers after government passes an act to control their actions. Anthony and Joe Russo are directing the film from the screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The other cast members of the film include Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, Tom Holland, William Hurt and Daniel Brühl.

The film opens May 6, 2016.
