Just how ruthless the villain Crossbones have become in "Captain America: Civil War" remains to be seen until the movie rolls in on May 6, 2016. However, actor Frank Grillo may have already given viewers a hint to his character's strength when he criticised Hulk during an interview.

Entertainment Weekly recently caught up with the actor while on his boxing training with Terry Southerland, to talk about his character in the Captain America sequel. During the interview, the 49-year-old said "badass" Crossbones is actually "not good and not bad," since he is basically just someone "defending his ideology." However, he also explained how the character could be such a formidable foe. Grillo claimed the villain may not have super powers and may be a mercenary but he can take down Hulk anytime.

"The Hulk is just a big thug who comes at you. Crossbones is much smarter than that," the actor said.

Further criticising the angry green giant, Grillo supposed his character's weapons could also take out the Hulk anytime. Crossbones supposedly doesn't lose to people who are green, much less to The Hulk, whom he described as "an idiot."

It's still uncertain if the actor will reprise his role in "Captain America: Civil War." However, movie director Joe Russo hinted his return. In an interview with Collider Joe said "Crossbones is not alive at the end of 'Winter Soldier' for no reason."

Grillo couldn't agree more with the director's statement. In a previous interview with EW the actor revealed what fans saw of Crossbones in "Captain America: Winter Soldier" is only a taste of what's to come in "Civil War." He even hinted of his return in the sequel when he claimed he "couldn't be more humbled and excited" when he was called for a body scan so the studios could create a costume for him out of his body shape.

Frank Grillo is also optimistic in his return as Crossbones in "Captain America: Civil War." In an interview with Collider, the actor recalled that he was already prepped by the Russo brothers on that possibility. Joe and Anthony supposedly told him that he will "be discovered" through Crossbones starting from the character's origin story in "Winter Soldier."
