Conflict may be central in any game, particularly one involving military and shooting, Sledgehammer Games' latest title may be taking conflict on a more complex level than fighting for bases.

In a recent interview with Examiner, senior development director at Sledgehammer Games Aaron Halo revealed that "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" expands the meaning of conflict to pertain more than just war on the battleground.

"We have this idea of this private military corporation that can really be anywhere. It's not a border on border conflict where you know where the front line is," Halon said in the interview with Examiner.

This allows not only a movement in the traditional treatment of "Call of Duty," but also lets them propel the game in any other direction and setting that the developers want it to take. In a sense, the war can travel with the player, as it is not confined by borders.

Split Screen Featured for 'Advanced Warfare'

Split screen has been confirmed to be one of the features coming to "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," according to Sledgehammer Games' Michael Condrey. Gamingbolt caught the Twitter confirmation which mentioned split screen function.

However, it does not specify which mode the split screen will be made available. Apart from this, "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will also feature 13 game modes once it launches, with a few more coming, including Demolition. And as far as weapons go, there may be 350 types of guns at your disposal, without even counting the 25 attachments that you can make use of."

Sledgehammer Games may really be going up for the challenge of making "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" as one of the titles that will be a game changer for the long-standing franchise.
