Nonito Donaire is biting off more than he can chew warns Nicholas Walters about two weeks before their marquee match-up on Oct. 18, 2014 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

“Donaire is going to realize from round one that he is in the wrong division fighting the wrong guy. Come October 18th, Christmas is coming early for me: I’m knocking out Donaire in round five or six,” Walters confidently declared via fightnews.com.

The Walters vs. Donaire bout is un undercard in the main event between World Boxing Association (WBA) middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and Marco Antonio Rubio.

The new proud pronouncements comes days after Walters made the same claims via World Boxing News.

“I am very hungry and I am confident I will defeat Nonito Donaire. I believe I’ll knock him out in five or six rounds,” the Walters said. “[Donaire] says I have not fought anybody and that he has knocked out more opponents than I have, and I say, sure, but none of them at 126 pounds.”

Nicknamed the “Axe Man”, the 28-year-old Walters was born and still resides in Mongtego Bay, Jamaica. He’ll be facing the “Filipino Flash”, 31-year-old Donaire from the Philippines.

Walters is undefeated in 24 bouts with 20 fights not going the distance. The Jamaican has won four straight bouts via KOs and 10 of his last 11 also via KO. For his part, Donaire has knocked out three of his last five opponents although he lost in April 2013 to Guillermo Rigondeaux.
