“Bones” Season 10, episode 22, titled “The Next in the Last,” will feature the return of an old villain, Andrew Leeds’ Christopher Pelant. The promo video and synopsis hint this could be the last straw for Booth and Brennan.

Spoiler alert: This update contains “Bones” Season 10 finale spoilers from the promo video and episode synopsis. Read on at your own risk.

The promo video from FOX suggests Pelant had planned how he would haunt the Jeffersonian team if he got killed. The episode synopsis of “Bones” Season 10, episode 22 indicates the show’s lead couple is set to “consider a life without the Jeffersonian.”

In the penultimate episode of “Bones” Season 10, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) appear to be in the end-stage of their separation. Brennan asking Booth to stay for the night implies she is considering taking him back into their home.

However, the couple is set to face a monstrous ghost from their past. It turns out the story about Pelant (and perhaps his marigold) is not yet over. In the “Bones” Season 10, episode 22 promo video, Booth tells Brennan this would be his last case.

Meanwhile, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) appear to be ready to move to Paris in episode 21. Angela tells Brennan, and the latter is not taking the decision against her best friend. Camille (Tamara Taylor) also learns of this decision toward the end of the episode.

In spite of buying a property in Paris, the synopsis of episode 21 indicates Angela and Hodgins may not be fully ready to move. The summary points out that “Angela worries about her and Hodgin's decision.”

“Bones” Season 10, episode 22 is expected to deliver some cliffhangers. After all, FOX has already ordered Season 11. Reports also say that Michaela Conlin and T.J. Thyne have both signed on for the next chapter of the series.
