An official look at Wonder Woman’s costume in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been revealed online. Close-up photos of the DC character’s costumes were taken from the Licensing Expo being held at the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay, an event which kicked off on June 9.

The photos shared by Collider showed not only Wonder Woman’s costume but also gave another closer look at Batman and Superman’s suits, which have already been previously revealed in the trailer. This would be the first time though that all characters’ costumes are in full display to the public.

Wonder Woman seems to be missing one part of her costume- her cape. Movie scoopster Umberto Gonzalez once shared a concept art on his Instagram page showing the character dressed in the same body suit shown at the expo but complete with a blue cape slung around her shoulders.

According to Collider, creating Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman costume in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” took a lot of care and effort from designer Michael Wilkinson and movie director Zack Snyder. “BVS” would reportedly be Wonder Woman’s debut in a feature film so crafting her costume was “both crucial and freeing.”

“Snyder and costume designer Michael Wilkinson (“American Hustle”) imagined a costume for Wonder Woman that would both be in keeping with the character’s comics history, but also fitting for the grounded DC Movie Universe that Snyder has created,” Collider writer Adam Chitwood explained.

Wilkinson once revealed during an interview with The Wrap (via Comic Book Movie) that he had to look at Wonder Woman’s history before he designed her costume. “She really deserves to be presented onscreen in her full glory, so what I do is look at the history of the character has been presented on the big screen, small screen, comic books, and graphic novels; we process it all,” he said. The final touches on Wonder Woman's costume were reportedly added based on what Zack Snyder sees fit for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” and what today’s audiences would want to see.

Apparently, the outcome of their costume design proved worthy for Wonder Woman’s debut in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The Amazon hero’s shield is also worth noting considering the effort it took to engrave all the inscriptions inside the shield, as seen in this photo shared by Collider.
