After Mila Kunis took the limelight for celebrity pregnancies and gave birth to a baby girl, Blake Lively dropped the bomb on Monday, Oct. 6, that she is pregnant with her first child. The announcement came from the actress' website, Preserve, where she posted a stunning snap of her baby bump taken by her brother Eric Lively.

Congratulating all the expecting mothers on her website, the former "Gossip Girl" actress launched a Preserve Celebration of Family celebrating "that special moment at the creation of family." Since her marriage in September 2012 with actor Ryan Reynolds, Lively has been vocal about her plans to start a family and her desire to become a mother.

Hinting about her pregnancy in late July, Blake, who is reportedly in her second trimester, revealed her food cravings when she appeared in a video for Vogue's digital series. Answering 73 questions on the video, the expecting mom revealed that her favourite dessert is "chocolate soufflé" and her favourite food is "melted cheese" with "mayonnaise" as her favourite condiment.

When asked what food she would eat at 4 A.M. on a Saturday night, the "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" star revealed that she would be eating some cookies after baking the sweet treats. She even cited the famous NYC eatery, Scalinatella, for their truffle pappardelle.

Excited for their growing family, the blond stunner shared the same sentiments with her husband of having a big family. During her interview in Vogue's August 2014 issue, Blake couldn't stop on gushing about Ryan for being a good husband.

"He's going to be a great father and leader and patriarch - he's so meant to be all of those things," she told the publication. "The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he's the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he's become, and we get to grow from there."

The couple first met on the set of the 2011 film "Green Lantern" and remained tight-lipped about their private lives. They secretly wed in an intimate ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
