In its totality, “The Blacklist” depends heavily on the memories of Liz, largely because she has gone through so much but cannot remember her past completely. The authenticity of the images and clips of the past that she sees will be questioned in an upcoming episode of the series.

As it stands, Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) only remembers scattered bits of her past. Carter Matt has noted that Liz knows her memories are the key to better understand herself. However, because it only comes to her in glimpses, she has had to rely on the likes of Raymond Reddington (James Spader) to fill in the missing pieces.

But as the publication continued to point out, there is the underlying question about whether or not what Liz remembers is real in the first place. If so, everything she has come to terms with and understands could be doubtful. This question is going to be tackled in an upcoming episode entitled “Dr Bogdan Krilov.”

In the episode, Reddington and the Task Force learn of a new Blacklister, who possesses the tools needed to manipulate the memories of others. Upon learning this, Liz questions her own memories and the few things that she has seen. She will begin to question everything she has come to learn about herself and what she has been through. It is a possibility that Liz had already run into this individual in the past and that her memories were altered.

Moreover, it will also be interesting to see how Liz will handle being in front of this Blacklister. The character could very well influence her journey for the rest of the season in ways that will remain to be unseen until “The Blacklist” returns to the small screen.

As for the rest of the cast, Gale (Enrique Murciano) pushes harder on his investigation. Meanwhile, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) finds a lead with regards to the disappearances of Justice Department official Reven Wright. It seems that Gale and Ressler are going to be vital characters in “The Blacklist.”

Australian audiences can watch “The Blacklist” on Channel Seven. Episodes first air in the United States via American network NBC. “Dr Bogdan Krilove” will air in the US on May 4.
