The show’s executives reportedly admit that this spinoff will not be like what most fans would expect. It will be entirely different form “The Blacklist” series because it has its own story to tell. There have been news that the upcoming eight episodes of “The Blacklist: Redemption” would put light into some of the original show’s dark areas and even add more thrill to it. They also noted that fans should brace themselves for a lot of intense scenes and action-packed adventures.

This is obviously because this spinoff would be focusing on Tom and his mother and how they got to where they are now. The reasons why Tom would enlist himself in an enemy organisation will be revealed slowly when the show premieres on Feb. 23 with the title "Leland Bray."

The Blacklist: Redemption” airs Thursdays on NBC in the US. In Australia, it will air on Channel Seven.
