In the premiere episode, "The Hofstadter Insufficiency" of CBS' hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," Regina King returned to reprise her role of Ms Davis. In one of the upcoming episodes, Bob Newhart will return to portray his Emmy award winning role of Professor Proton.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Professor Proton will seek out Leonard (Johnny Galecki), asking his help with an experiment. This will not go well with Sheldon (Jim Parsons). A hurt, jealous Sheldon will try to become friends with Bill Nye, a rival science host on T.V.

Bill Nye will appear in the episode of "The Big Bang Theory" as himself. He was recently eliminated form "Dancing with the Stars." Bob Newhart, 84, won his first Emmy award for playing the characters of Bob Newhart, after seven nominations in a career spanning 51 years. He won the award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for "The Big Bang Theory."

According to Bill Nye's biography on his site, he is a scientist, engineer, comedian, author, and inventor. He is described as a man with a mission: "to help foster a scientifically literate society, to help people everywhere understand and appreciate the science that makes our world work."

It looks like Sheldon and Bill Nye's screen time, together is going to provide some great entertainment.

Also, Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) genius mother, portrayed by Christine Baranski, will be making her appearance via Skype, which is slated to air on October 10, 2013.

The third episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Season is "The Scavenger Vortex." A scavenger hunt game has been designed by Raj and it is going to bring the best and the worst out of the characters.

"When the entire gang competes in a scavenger hunt designed by Raj, it brings out the best - and worst - in everyone," according to the official synopsis released by CBS.
