Behemoth is known for some of the best platformer games including “Alien Hominid,” “Castle Crashers” and “Battleblock Theater.” With their simplicity and sheer fun, the games by Behemoth have a notable fan base. Now the indie developer has given fans a taste of their next game through a trailer.

Behemoth’s upcoming “Pit People” was previously known as Behemoth’s Game 4. The developer describes the project as a fast-paced co-op adventure game. Despite being fast-paced, the game is turn-based. While playing, gamers will get to explore, accomplish quest, find treasure and items, customise their characters and recruit strange creatures, which greatly affect the core gameplay.

With PAX 2015 just around the corner, the developer released a short trailer, seen below. The clip shows off the core gameplay as well as some of the enemies and allies the players will encounter in the game. Although the premise of the story is yet to be revealed, the trailer shows the vast cast of characters in the game, so players could expect an odd but captivating storyline.

Gamespot notes that Behemoth is a developer that takes a while to develop games. Its previous game, “BattleBlock Theater,” was first seen as a playable exclusive in some events back in 2009. Despite its 2009 appearance, the game was officially launched in 2013. This means that “Pit People” may not hit consoles anytime soon. However, the game is planned for a release on the Xbox One and PC.

Aside from “Pit People,” Behemoth is also developing a remaster for “Castle Crashers” for the Xbox One. The remaster will see the side-scrolling action game with better graphics than the original. It will also have an uncapped framerate as well as some tweaks to gameplay and online multiplayer. Behemoth also plans to expand the game with a mini-game titled “Back Off Barbarian.”
