Electronic Arts' upcoming flagship FPS title "Battlefield Hardline" will have some extra goodies on offer; that is if you can pony up extra cash for those. After the Feb. 3 launch of its second beta, some in-game items hint towards the inclusion of a Premium service for the game.

There hasn't been an official announcement by the publisher about the Premium service yet. However, the descriptions for various items in the ongoing beta point towards the possibility of the existence of the paid service in the retail release of the game, according to VG247. Introduced in "Battlefield 3," Premium is EA's version of the season pass delivery system for additional content found in other games.

The "Battlefield" version of the season pass essentially gives players access to future DLC content at discounted rates. The catch is that players have to pay beforehand. The presence of in-game items in the "Hardline" beta points to the inclusion of certain items exclusive to Premium members. This includes cosmetic items such as patches that can be worn on the shoulders.

One such patch in the beta is listed as an exclusive for Premium subscribers. The description reads: "Premium subscribers will find these Patches in Silver and Gold Battlepacks," according to Videogamer.

However, not all of the cool gimmicks in the game force players to cough up extra money over the sticker price. "Battlefield Hardline" includes some cool new animations that add a bit of novelty and sometimes hilarity of the proceedings. The catch is that some of them are extremely rare and will only get triggered once in 10,000 times, according to the official "Battlefield" Twitter account.

Embedded below is a video showcasing a particularly cool animation employing the Force capability from the "Star Wars" universe while reloading weapons. Other examples include the criminals flipping the birds to the cops when using the spotting feature that lets players mark enemies down for their team.

For those who haven't tried out the beta yet, they have until Feb. 8 to sample some of the multiplayer benefits of the game. It is a great opportunity to try out the series' gameplay shift from the traditional military conflict setup to the new cops and robbers dynamic without paying a dime. Although the game essentially features a cops vs. robbers gameplay, players will still have access to the same high-powered military gear as the previous instalments. "Battlefield Hardline" launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 20.
