Holly Hunter's role in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is supposedly shrouded with mystery. However, in her recent interview about the film, the actress dropped some hints as to which DC character she will portray.

Holly Hunter reportedly signed on with "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" back in April. But since then, Cinemablend claims producers and even the actress herself have remained tight-lipped regarding her involvement in the film. However, her recent interview with The Wall Street Journal supposedly gave away subtle hints about her character in the movie.

Holly Hunter declined to reveal any details about the production during the interview. Doing so could supposedly endanger her children when she jokingly told the interviewer, "I don't want anything to happen to my kids." However, she supposedly gave away hints about her role when asked for details about Superman and Batman. The actress said she "have scenes with Superman," adding that the superhero "looks phenomenal" in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Holly Hunter was previously rumoured to play as Dr Leslie Thompkins. Cinemablend describes her character as someone who's worked with the Wayne family. From the Batman comics, Dr Thompkins also served as Bruce Wayne's surrogate mother following his parents' death. Additionally, Dr Leslie Thompkins supposedly knows Bruce's alter-ego as a caped crusader.

However, according to Cinemablend, Hunter's statement about having scenes with Superman contradicts her rumoured role. It's reportedly interesting to note that she would mention having shot scenes with Superman first before mentioning her work with Batman.

"And to see Ben [Affleck, who plays Batman] and Henry [Cavill, who plays Superman] together is quite formidable," Holly Hunter said when asked about Batman.

According to the site, it would have been fitting if she mentioned having scenes with the caped crusader. If she were reportedly to play the role of Dr Leslie Thompkins, then the character would call for her to shoot some scenes with Ben Affleck, who plays Bruce Wayne. However, her statement could supposedly also be a misdirection so fans wouldn't know which character she will portray.

Regardless, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is still two years away from its March 25 release. Hopefully, before then more details will be revealed regarding Holly Hunter's role in the movie.
